Natural Fibre Care

Every WELUKA rug is carefully handwoven using natural fibres. Due to the nature of these materials and the handcrafting process, minor variations in colour and size may happen. These natural irregularities are not defects but a testament to the rug’s artisanal origins.

Natural fibres may shed initially but will settle over time with regular use. All rugs are inspected thoroughly for defects and damage prior to dispatch.

As WELUKA rugs are made from natural materials, they should be cleaned and maintained by a trusted specialist in natural rug care. Vacuuming should be done using a flat-head attachment, avoiding brushes.

Product Variations

As each WELUKA product is handmade, natural variations in colour, size, and texture may occur. These differences are an inherent part of the handcrafted process and contribute to the uniqueness of every item.

Please consult with us before placing an order to ensure you are satisfied with these possible variations, as slight differences or imperfections will not entitle you to reject or return the product.

WELUKA cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies between a sample and the final product.

Production Lead Time

Estimated lead times are shown on our website. While we will do our best to keep to these times, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control. We will keep you informed about the progress of your order.

Quotations and Orders

WELUKA gladly provides quotations free of charge and without obligation, based on customer specifications and location.

50% payment of the quoted price must be received prior to the commencement of rug production and design.

Please quote your invoice number as the payment reference and send proof of payment by email.

All rugs are made to order, and payment is due at the time of ordering. WELUKA cannot guarantee production or availability of specific fibres or materials until payment has cleared.

Cancellations and Returns

Fibres for each WELUKA rug are sourced only after confirmation of the order. Therefore, cancellations are not accepted after 24 hours from the order placement.

Since every piece is made to order, we do not as a rule accept returns and do not offer exchanges.

However if you wish to return something because you believe it clearly does not meet the order specifications or is materially defective, in order for us to consider this, you must advise us within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear images of the item so that we can assess your request.

Returned rugs must be securely packaged in their original wrapping or equivalent high-quality waterproof material. WELUKA is not liable for damage incurred during return shipping.

Use Of Goods

While we make our products to the best of our ability, we don’t know how you intend to use them and so we cannot make any warranty about their durability.

International Orders

WELUKA endeavours to deliver orders as quickly and efficiently as possible but cannot be held responsible for orders that are not received. Customers placing international orders are advised to insure their shipments.

Some countries may have restrictions or require permits, customs duties, or insurance for imported goods. Customers are responsible for complying with all local regulations and charges to ensure successful delivery abroad.

Intellectual Property


All rights, including copyright, trade marks, and other intellectual property rights in logos, text, images, videos, audio, or other content on WELUKA’s website, communications, order documents, invoices, or premises (including designs and patterns), belong exclusively to or are licensed by WELUKA. Any unauthorised use, reproduction, alteration, or distribution of such content is strictly prohibited and constitutes an infringement of intellectual property rights.

General


These terms do not affect or diminish any consumer rights. Any disputes arising will be governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of South Africa.

WELUKA accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by customers through the use of its products and/or services, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by its employees.

WELUKA respects its customers’ privacy and will not contact them without prior consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.
